The LAZ company. PAPAGEORGIOU S.A. responding to the requirements of the modern business reality and aiming to provide high standards of merchandise quality, to improve its organizational structure and internal communication and to ensure the safety of the products provided to its customers, it decided to design and install a Product Safety System according to the requirements of the International Standard ELOT EN ISO 22000:2018.
The company's Food Safety Management System (FSMS) covers the production of Spoon Sweets, Jams, Sweets, Vanilla and Sour Cherry and was designed in accordance with the needs and aspirations of the company, in accordance with the Legal and Regulatory requirements of the applicable Greek and Community legislation.
Satisfying and securing the trust of customers, through the fulfillment of defined quality standards, are the company's basic principles. The overall goal is to provide safe food to customers. More specifically, the company seeks to:
- the continuous upgrading of the potential involved in production, through training programs, but also the recruitment of qualified new workers,
- the continuous improvement of SDAT (Food Safety Management System according to ISO 22000) and the operation of the company using the following tools:
- Define and review product quality and safety objectives.
- Management Review.
- Internal Inspections.
- Corrective and Preventive Actions.
- Systematic analysis of data resulting from the Quality Records.
Measurable goals of the company to satisfy the above Food Safety Policy are:
- Minimize product returns or customer complaints about the quality and safety of the products provided.
- All the results of the laboratory analyzes for our products must be within the limits set by the European and Greek legislation.
- Minimize non-compliant products received from suppliers.
In addition, the philosophy and values of the company include the avoidance of burdening the environment, the prudent use of natural resources and the application of hygiene and safety rules.
In order to achieve the above objectives, all the necessary reports have been made in the documentation of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS). Through systematic planning, process control and continuous improvement of all activities, the principles of the company are fulfilled.
The Administration is committed to providing the infrastructure and equipment deemed necessary for the implementation of its tasks. Each employee is responsible for the quality of their own work and is required to contribute to the management of quality, product safety and the achievement of defined objectives. For this reason, all employees, depending on their responsibilities, are informed about the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and demonstrably act in accordance with the established rules.
Processes, flows and actions that do not guarantee the fulfillment of the objectives set, are stopped immediately by those responsible, cause analyzes are carried out and the required improvement measures are defined.
